I’ve always been fascinated with the fact that there are such miraculous and cool things to see in nature. I love seeing the leaves change color in the fall, and I adore going outside after a freshly fallen snow and just listening to the silence it brings. Then there’s spring with all the beautiful colors and of course our wonderful friend pollen (haha) and finally summer trips to the beach where you can get lost watching the waves at the beach.
Nature produces some great things as the seasons come and go, but there’s one natural wonder that comes to mind that has stood the test of time, the Natural Bridge of VA. I remember seeing this grandiose structure as a little child. I remember how little I felt standing beneath such a majestic sight. Located in Rockbridge County, Virginia, the Natural Bridge was once listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World in the 19th and 20th centuries. Legend has it that the Natural Bridge was formed when a cavern collapsed. In 1998, it was named a National Historic Landmark.
This beautiful bridge is a sight to see both in the cold and warm seasons.
To this day, the Natural Bridge is a prominent tourist attraction. Not only can you visit this great structure but you can also visit the Caverns at Natural Bridge! I’ll have to talk about them in another blog post! 🙂
I hope to visit again soon one day!
